Macaco Project

With a colourful palette of savvy and stylish neo-soul sounds, Macaco Project are making heads turn throughout Bristol. Fronted by Kate Mac’s soulful, skilful vocals and trumpet alongside the hypnotic rhymes of MC Lyflyk, the whole ensemble breathes together through each ergonomic groove delivered by the whip-tight rhythm section.

With a debut album out in January, their influences range from D’Angelo and Erykah Badu to Bill Laurance and The Fugees. The recipe contains flavours of RnB, jazz, soul and hip hop, and the resulting danceable dish is tantalising.
