‘I don’t often say a band will go on to be bigger, because we all know of some great bands that simply just don’t make it, but I’ll take a punt here.’ – Simon Poole BBC Radio 6 (Fresh Faves)
‘Absolutely gorgeous’ – Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2
Cousin Kula’s kaleidoscopic sound is woven from a myriad of musical genres. Combining flavours of psychedelia, afrobeat and latin with nu jazz, indie-rock and trip-hop the band seamlessly craft a sound that is rooted in world music yet gleams with contemporary freshness. Hailing from Bristol, their explosive high energy performances have built the band a strong local following, playing sold out shows across the city as well as landing main stage festival slots at Shambala and Mosely Folk festivals among others. The band has also gained national radio play from the likes of Bob Harris on BBC 2, and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 music.
